About the session
In service design, we often aim to replace an outdated set of paper forms with an easy-to-use digital service. How can we make sure that our new digital forms are accessible?
In this workshop, we’ll focus on a specific question to explore the new WCAG 2.1 guidelines (September 23), see whether the GOV.UK design system can help us, and then create a first draft prototype.
You’ll learn a method for examining - and probably, challenging - every question on your new form so that the form meets user needs, conforms to the WCAG guidelines, and is accessible to everyone.
Participant takeaways:
Exploring WCAG 2.1 guidelines for creating accessible digital forms
Leveraging the GOV.UK design system to enhance accessibility
Learning a method to scrutinize and improve new form questions for user needs and compliance
