About the session
Innovations aimed at decarbonising urban mobility are often focused on technology and market readiness. Integrating the innovations into society in a way that supports social justice while addressing unintended consequences is challenging, but vital to de-risking mobility investments and their successful adoption.
Through an introduction to SoRA (Societal Readiness Assessment), the workshop exemplifies a process of reflexive assessment to recognize how socially responsive a green mobility innovation is. It further informs decision-making to strengthen zero-carbon adoption through cross-sector collaboration.
Participant takeaways:
- A hands-on experience of how to use SoRA-Dash to evaluate, critique or support green mobility research, design and innovation processes.
- Insights into the value of cross-sector collaboration in assessing and de-risking green mobility investments.
- Dialogue that builds capacity for a different way of thinking about and applying human-centred design.
