About the session
Themes: Imaginative/imagined futures, accessibility, ethics and inclusion
Participatory research is a powerful tool for co-designing with marginalised communities - bringing people from those communities in to help plan, deliver, and/or analyse your design research.
Drawing on a futures project focused on youth accommodation we ran in the London Borough of Camden, we'll show how we worked with a group of young, care-experienced co-designers throughout our research process, maximising the project's impact and ensuring their voice was heard more authentically.
We'll share tips, principles, and templates that help you use these methods in your own projects, even where time or resource is limited.
